Lampwork Teiwaz necklace
This handmade glass necklace features the rune Teiwaz (honor and courage) along with a lavastone bead as compliment. It is hung on a long black leather cord that can be tied at your desired length.
This necklace was made by Tanya Layton of Laytonmade in a process called lampworking. Lampworking is a type of glasswork in which a torch or lamp is used to melt the glass. Once in a molten state, the glass is formed by blowing and shaping with tools and hand movements. It is also known as flameworking or torchworking, as the modern practice no longer uses oil-fueled lamps.
Tanya is an incredible artist who donated over 5000 of these beads to Beads of Courage to help give hope to children with cancer last year. We are so excited to be featuring her unique jewelry on our page!
